Jamaican Fine Artist | Specializing in Watercolor Paintings & Pencil Drawings
I've been drawing all my life and pursued interests in graphic design and animation.
Since then my focus has shifted to fine art, I create primarily watercolor paintings and pencil drawings.
I am largely a self taught draftsman I learnt much about the photorealistic drawing style associated with my portraits today from New York based artist Linda Huber, her decades of experience proved invaluable to the development of my signature style of capturing near perfect likeness of my models.
I developed my skills further through various mentoring programs such as the Matt Tommey Mentoring Program.
My artistic skills developed most over the course of 6+ years of mentorship under the guidance and encouragement of award winning children’s book illustrator, fine artist and educator Earl B. Lewis. These years shaped my love for the organic nuances of traditional media and showed me how to use it’s natural qualities and marks to communicate my ideas with meaning and emotion.
My watercolor paintings can be described as detailed, bold renderings that resemble the impressive finish of an oil painting rather than that of many watercolors that resemble studies or sketches.
My clients have commended my Portrait art as having the ability to capture their loved ones with a very close likeness and accurate portrayal of their unique personality traits.
My body of work is diverse in its subject matter consisting of animals, florals and landscapes. My pieces are in private collections across Jamaica and the USA.
